The all-new eighth generation 2006 Honda Civic made its debut in September 2006 at dealerships nationwide. Four completely redesigned models include the well-equipped and technologically advanced Civic Sedan and Civic Coupe, an ultra-efficient Civic Hybrid and the high performance Civic Si. New standard features on all models and trim levels include: Side curtain airbags and front side airbags Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) Body Structure Anti-lock brakes (with 4-channel ABS and Electronic Brake Distribution) Active front seat head restraints Telescoping steering wheel (in addition to tilt) And much more, plus newly available features that include Honda's Satellite-Linked Navigation System and XM Satellite Radio. The Civic Si showcases the high-performance potential of the Civic platform and offers a 197 horsepower, DOHC 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine connected to a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited slip differential. Civic Si pricing will be announced closer to on-sale date in December.
