Manufacturer Press Release
|
The 350 GT is the production version of the 350 GTV that Lamborghini introduced a year earlier. The car featured the same independent suspension, aluminum body, and 3.5 liter V12 designed by Bizzarrini. Some differences in the appearance of the car included the change from pop-up to fixed headlights and smoother looking body panels. The chassis of the car was also modified from the GTV. The engine output was reduced to make the 350 GT more of a touring car than a race car.
The 350 GT first made its appearance at the 1964 Geneva Auto Show. Lamborghini produced approximately 120 350 GTs.
