Press Release

Regardless of whether the vehicle is equipped with conventional steel springs or with Airmatic air suspension: H&R suspension tuning for the CLS offers even more driving fun, more exciting looks and further increased active safety. In the development of the suspension components for the world¡Ë¢çE¢®Ec?s first four-door coupe H&R drew on its know-how gained as technology partner of the Mercedes-Benz teams in the German Touring Car Masters championship racing series.

H&R TRAK+ wheel spacers are available for all CLS models. Not only do they lend the Mercedes an even more spectacular appearance, most of all they give it even safer and sportier handling. The various spacer versions are made from high-strength aluminum and widen the track by between 10 and 40 millimeters per axle. All spacers are TUV-certified and are available for production and after-market wheels.

For the CLS 350, standard-equipped with steel springs, H&R offers either lowering springs or a height-adjustable coil-over sport suspension. The progressive-rate H&R sport springs were calibrated to be used in conjunction with the production shocks. They lower the ride-height of the CLS 350 by some 35 millimeters.

Sporty-minded owners of the new Mercedes will soon find the optimal solution in the form of the height-adjustable H&R coil-over sport suspension. Its well-balanced combination of firmer gas-pressure shocks and variable ride-height lowering of up to 50 millimeters was determined in driving tests in everyday traffic and on the race track.

The CLS 500 comes standard-equipped with air suspension. Its ride-height can be lowered with the H&R ETS system. The module alters the ride-height settings of the standard self-leveling suspension on front and rear axle. It lowers the ride-height of the coupe by up to 30 millimeters.

All H&R suspension components are developed and manufactured in compliance with the strict quality standards of ISO 9001 norm.
