H&R is one the world's leading manufacturers of suspension systems as well as one of the most important suppliers in international motorsports: H&R is exclusive supplier for the DTM teams from Audi, Mercedes and Opel, as well as development partner and producer of suspension components for the Porsche racing division. The know-how from decades of successful motorsports involvement also benefited the development of the H&R suspension components for the new Boxster. H&R offers various levels of suspension tuning for the sportscar from Zuffenhausen: The list starts with TUV-tested and approved spacers for the production wheels. The spacers widen the track between 14 and 36 millimeters per axle. The result on the roadster: Improved handling characteristics and even more exciting looks. H&R progressive-rate springs matched to the stock shock absorbers can lower the sportscar by about 35 millimeters. For further optimized turn-in and for reduced body roll in high-speed turns H&R offers sport sway bars for the new Boxster. The sway bars are manufactured from high-strength spring steel. For owners of the Porsche Boxster looking for a sportier suspension, H&R offers a height-adjustable coil-over suspension. The suspension was fine-tuned in extensive driving tests of the Nordschleife of the Nurburgring. The H&R single-tube gas-pressure shocks front and back are somewhat stiffer than the production shocks but still offer sufficient ride comfort for everyday driving. Ride height can be adjusted to each customer's preferences and the predominant use of the vehicle: Ride height can be lowered with the H&R sport suspension between 30 and 60 millimeters in front and between 20 and 50 millimeters on the rear axle. All H&R suspension components are developed and manufactured in accordance with the strict quality standards of the ISO 9001 norm. All carry the stamp of approval of the German Technical Inspection Agency (TUV). H&R also offers sport suspensions, lowering springs, sport sway bars and spacers for all other Porsche models. |
